It's broccoli season! Time to get your fill at the table OR freeze it for later.
For freezing: cut stems (yes, the stems are EXCELLENT) and florets into similar size pieces, blanch for 3 minutes, shock in cold water to stop the cooking process. drain well and pack in freezer bags and freeze. Perfect for simply steaming to preferred doneness, soups, roasting, etc.
