This bundle includes all the products from buttermaking. We first separate the cream from the milk. We churn the cream to make butter, then make Icelandic-style skyr yogurt from the skim milk. Draining the skyr produces whey. You can also request the buttermilk that is a by-product from making the butter. A full share of milk makes about half a pound of butter, a cup or less of buttermilk, two pounds of skyr yogurt, and a half gallon of whey. If you would like the buttermilk included in your bundle, and/or if you would like less than the half gallon of whey, let us know in the notes when you order. All amounts are approximate and will vary slightly throughout the seasons THIS MUST BE ORDERED AT LEAST 5 DAYS BEFORE SCHEDULED PICKUP You must have a FULL milk subscription to order the butter bundle, otherwise we will have to void the order. These products will be made with your share of milk, so if you have a full herdshare subscription, you will receive the butter bundle, but not milk for that week. If you have two full herdshares, you will receive one gallon of milk, and the butter bundle products made with your second gallon of milk. Please select your regular pickup day.
