Bacon avocados are oval-shaped and have smooth thin skin that is dark green in color. Flesh is pale yellow-green with faint speckles throughout. Delicious in flavor with a buttery creamy texture. Considered a winter avocado because Bacons are hardy down to 26 degrees. Named after James Bacon who originally bred them in 1956 in Buena Park CA.
