Our Process
The Hungarians know this delectable pastry as "omlos teasutemeny," but we know it as a delicious and flavorful treat that is hard to resist! Chef Becky uses a special technique to achieve the light and crumbly texture of the shortbread. She freezes the dough and then grates it, giving it a delicate texture that perfectly envelops our organic fruit conserves. The Hungarian Shortbread pairs excellently with a cup of coffee or tea for an elegant breakfast or a sweet mid-afternoon snack. Each round comes wrapped in tissue and packaged in a reusable gold tin, making it a wonderful and tasty gift.
We have three different flavors - apricot, plum-blueberry, and nectarine-plum! You'll receive one flavor based on availability. Please leave us a note if you want a certain flavor, and we will try to accommodate you if we have it available.
