In California, food insecurity affects a significant portion of the population, with about one in five residents struggling with limited or uncertain access to adequate food. This is concerning, given that the state produces a large share of the nation's produce supply.
The Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano serves enough food for 79,000 households on average each month. Thousands of people are worried about where their next meal will come from.
Community is about doing something together that makes belonging matter.
