Our pastured pigs are a cross between hearty heritage breeds (American Guinea Hog x Ossabaw). They clean up fields, eat food scraps, and consume huge amounts of extra vegetable materials as we cycle through our planting beds. They turn brushy areas into cleaned-up fields, and they also taste great. If you eat pork, think of sausage from these pigs as perhaps the most sustainable meat you can find. These sausage links run $10/lb and the packages usually weigh about 1 lb each.
