Gwen is similar in appearance, taste and texture to Hass. Gwen has a pebbly, thick but pliable green skin which makes it easy to peel. Flesh is creamy, gold-green color. When ripe, the skin does not turn dark like Hass. Skin should yield to gentle pressure when ripe.
