What is a Farmarium? This creation happened 2 years ago. As we start to leave beds with roots in over winter this means that we pull roots out in the spring as we rake the beds before compost is added. A Farmarium was born as a way to preserve the roots on the farm. It started as an experiment with my kids and turned into an art form with nature guiding the process. I carefully preserve the roots to keep as much of the shape and add them to a jar with other farm collected items. everything is dried and kept safe in the jar. These Farmariums are not alive so they need no care or maintenance the joy is that you have a piece of nature maybe a root of a veggie you hate or one you love. This is a great gift for someone who cant have plants or someone who has everything else. These unique one of a kind pieces of art and love will bring joy to whom ever finds them.
